Benjamin Franklin  was the inventor of lightning rods, bifocals and Franklin stove, but apart from that he was one of the founding fathers of United States  and renowned polymath, author , printer ,scientist, inventor, statesman and diplomat.

He played a major role in American Independence and also earned the title of “First American” for his early and indefatigable campaigning for colonial unit.

Benjamin Franklin had only 2 years of formal education before starting to work with his brother at a printing shop, but he had keen interest in reading and taught himself pretty much everything.
